The Rotary Club of Mount Waverley is actively involved in the following Youth Service Projects:
- M.U.N.A. - Model United Nations Assembly
Held in May each year, the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) debating competition for Year 10 students is conducted over a weekend, at the Victorian Parliament House. It specifically assists students with their research, debating and networking skills, in a fun environment. The students debate ten resolutions of a mock United Nations Assembly covering human rights and health issues, social
economic and environmental issues, and peace and security issues. Each team is allocated a country to represent in a United Nations Assembly setting, and formal debating rules and techniques are applied, and controlled by an appointed "Secretary General". The teams can also dress up in national costume to give added theatre to the event.

- RYPEN - Rotary Youth Programme of Enrichment
This weekend camp is held at the Oasis Youth Camp at Mt Evelyn in May. This programme is for young people between
the age of 14 - 17 years to teach the teens some leadership skills.

- RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
This is an intensive six day programme for young people aged 18 to 30, nominated by Rotary Clubs for their community youth leadership potential. The programme covers the fundamentals and ethics of positive leadership, communication skills, problem solving and conflict management. It is held in July each year at Myrniong.

ANZAC themed writing competition.
Local Year 6 primary school students are invited to participate in a competition involving writing an essay on an ANZAC CENTENARY theme. The essays are judged by teaching staff and our club awards prizes to encourage participation.
Rotary 4 way speech contest.
Our cub sponsors year 10 students from local secondary schools to present a 4 minute speech on their own chosen topic. A condition is that the speech must incorporate at least two of the Rotary 4 Way Test criteria. The contest typically involves several students from a number of Rotary clubs in the district. Judges are well qualified members of the international Toastmasters organisation.
